The X-Keys O-Trac from PI Engineering is a robustly built trackball with a long history of durability, reliability and performance, carrying on the legacy of the PC-Trac Trackballs formerly manufactured by Clearly Superior Technologies.

The X-Keys O-Trac Trackball offers a gently-angled profile that serves as a natural hand rest. The gradual curve of the body mirrors the natural contour of the hand and is designed to easily accommodate both right- and left-handed use, as well as multiple hand sizes.

Unlike most trackballs on the market, the high density phenolic trackball in the O-Trac has significant inertia. This provides far more tactile feedback than that normally offered by mass market trackballs, while still offering smooth response to even a light touch. The ProTouch from Sun-Flex is a central, multi-touch pointing device. The plug-and-play ProTouch positions directly in front of any standard straight-edged keyboard, moving cursor control and clicking actions to a central location easily accessed by either (or both) hands. The integrated touchpad allows individuals to move the cursor as they would with any other touchpad. However, the multitouch gesture technology also makes it possible to perform additional functions such as Left Click, Right Click, Scroll, and Zoom. Model 400306 offers Extended Functions for Windows 8, gesture features that can be extended to application related functions.

The ProTouch is solidly built with aluminum housing and tactile keys for quick access to common functions such as Copy, Paste, Left Click, Right Click, and Double Click.

The StudioMouse Wireless from Kensington is an ambidextrous wireless mouse that features touch scrolling rather than a traditional scroll wheel. Scrolling is accomplished by swiping the finger up or down the touch zone or holding the finger down for continuous scrolling. A middle button just above the touch zone supports auto-scrolling as well. The wireless receiver and charging station connects via USB (for data communication) and a standard wall adapter (for charging). The ambidextrous design makes this suitable for right- or left-handed use. The small dimensions of this mouse (4.5"L x 2.5"W x 1.25"H) make this best suited for those with smaller or average size hands.

This mouse is New Old Stock so the included NiMH rechargeable batteries are untested. However the mouse can use standard AAA batteries. It has been tested and verified to fully function under current versions of Windows.

The Expert Mouse Wired Trackball from Kensington is a well-established and proven mousing solution. The large lightweight 55 mm ball features a silky, smooth movement that offers sufficient resistance without straining the fingers. This smooth movement, combined with Diamond Eye optical technology, ensures precision level cursor control is available for gaming, photo editing, or everyday work. The Expert Mouse Wired Trackball also features a ScrollRing around the base of the ball, giving users easy access to quick scrolling whenever necessary.

Basic mouse click functions are plug-and-play but users also have the option of installing the TrackballWorks software for total customization of the 4 large buttons surrounding the ball. Custom and program-specific commands and macros can be programmed for easy completion without the hand leaving the trackball. The ambidextrous design easily accommodates both right and left-handed use and includes a detachable rest to aid users in maintaining a more ergonomic neutral wrist alignment.

Users who prefer a wireless device may wish to consider the Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball which offers all of the same functionality as the Expert Mouse Optical but with the addition of both Bluetooth and standard 2.4 Ghz wireless freedom.

The Expert Mouse Wired Trackball will fit most hands. However, if a user has a small hand they may wish to consider the Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring which features a smaller 40 mm trackball and is better suited for smaller hands.

Note: The SwitchMouse has been discontinued. The HandshoeMouse SHIFT is an alternative that provides orthopaedic ergonomic support while serving equally well for both right- and left-handed use.

The Switch Mouse integrates two major innovations - a V-shaped base, which puts the wrist and forearm into a slightly more natural pronation for left or right-handed users, and the Extender feature which allow the mouse to 'stretch' to provide some adjustment to the length (but not the width) of the mouse. Other features include a built-in palm support to prevent contact stress on the wrist, four-way scrolling dish, and programmable buttons (requires installation of PC drivers) for user-specified functions. This mouse has a 1600 DPI laser sensor and comes only in a corded model (cord is 2 m in length).

The Wedge Touch Mouse is Microsoft's smallest mouse ever, designed primarily for use with tablets. Connecting to your device via Bluetooth, you don't need cords or wireless tranceivers; and with Microsoft's BlueTrack technology you can use the Wedge Touch Mouse on almost any non-glass surface with either hand. Its defining feature is four-way touch scrolling in every direction: up, down, left, and right. When not in use, the mouse shuts off automatically.

The Rockstick2 Mouse retains all of the benefits and functionality of the original Rockstick Mouse but introduces a new design and added capabilities. As with the original Rockstick Mouse, the Rockstick2 addresses one of the most repetitive activities of computer use--generating mouse clicks. Rather than using one or two fingers to click a button, the user simply rocks the body of the mouse, tilting it slightly to the left or right to generate a click. The strenth of the entire hand can be used to generate the click, rather than the much more limited strength of the index or middle fingers. This makes the Rockstick Mouse2 a potentially good alternative for individuals with trigger finger or arthritis, or for anyone who has difficulty clicking the buttons on a conventional mouse.

The new design is also ambidextrous, enabling both left- and right-handed users to experience the benefits. The scroll wheel is located on the inside of the mouse, where it can be accessed easily by the thumb. This newest model also features variable DPI and a flange to keep the little finger clear of the worksurface. Two size options (Small/Medium and Large) are available.
