The LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat from Mey Chair Systems is well-suited to users who need to work as close as possible to the work surface of an elevated workstation, particularly those built on top of base cabinets or shelves. The LOTAH features a large plush saddle designed to be straddled, rather than leaned against. While keeping the torso in an ergonomically desirable upright orientation, the straddle posture positions the heels behind the bend of the knees, rather than extended forward of the knees as they would be on a leaning stool. (See the Tulean Sit-Stand Comfort Leaning Stool, also by Mey Chair Systems, for an illustration of this latter position.) This posture allows the user to move in much closer to flat-fronted work surfaces than might otherwise be possible. As a result, the LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat helps to reduce the risk of overreach injuries to the muscles of the shoulders and back, and the risk of injury to the muscles of the sides and mid-section caused by sitting sideways along the base of the workstation and twisting at the waist to get close enough to its surface. The LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat also helps to reduce the load borne by the feet and legs for those who work at elevated workstations by transferring the majority of the user's weight to the seat. As a result the user experiences less overall fatigue and a greater ability to maintain focus and concentration.
Built on a heavy tubular steel base with a gas spring that enables a height adjustment range of 24.8" to 31.5", and with a seat that has 15° of tilt range and 3" of cushioning, the LOTAH Sit-Stand Comfort Seat offers individualized comfort and long-term durability.

The FYLDST Folding Sit-Stand Stool from Mey Chair Systems offers users the opportunity to sit or lean while working. In addition to reducing the weight load and stress on the joints of the legs, this posture also lets users quickly move back to a fully standing position with minimal effort.
Designed with portability in mind, at only 14.3 lbs the FYLDST enables users to easily move their chair with them between locations or job sites. This stool offers an extended range of seat height adjustment from 21.25" to 35.4" which will accommodate virtually every user and is rated to support 264 lbs. Heavy rectangular tube steel construction, simple folding hinges, and handwheel adjustment of seat height mean this chair will last through years of heavy use. The Formed Polyurethane fixed seat angles slightly down at 10°, providing a comfortable resting place throughout the day. The textured surface of the seat facilitates airflow and makes the seat feel softer, improving comfort.
The simple design of this model results in a rigid seating position, with the only cushioning being that of the reasonably firm formed-polyurethane seat. Users looking for more cushioning or not requiring portability may wish to consider one of the numerous other models from Mey Chair systems, with options of softer padding in the seats or gas spring cylinders for shock absorbance.

The SRLYN Sit-Stand Stool from Mey Chair Systems offers users working at height-adjustable workstations the option of an elevated seat or a leaning stance. The SRLYN helps to reduce strain on the muscles of the lower back and core, and on the legs and feet. The leaning position also minimizes the effort required to return to a fully standing position and provides users with a greater range of motion and greater reach than does a standard seated position.
The SRLYN Sit-Stand Stool features an infinitely adjustable height range from 26.4" to 35.8" and locking forward tilt adjustment from 5° up to 20°. The 14.2" wide by 12.6" deep formed polyurethane seat provides a large firm cushioned seating surface with an integrated handle for easy movement. (Note: Users under 5'6" may find this seat too high; taller users might benefit from its greater upper range which can accommodate individuals up to 6'6".)
Strong nylon glides engage the floor to ensure secure positioning of the seat. The incorporated rollers and handle enable users to move the seat easily between workstations. The unique design of the heavy-duty textured black tubular steel base maximizes stability while also greatly reducing the risk of tripping for passersby.
This ruggedly designed seat has an industrial look but would also work well in an office setting.

The LOBAK Sit-Stand Stools from Mey Chair Systems are ideal as temporary perching seats. The short raised back encourages users to sit upright on the seat, adopting a posture that encourages correct spinal alignment. The tilt-adjustable seat also offers users the option of using the LOBAK as a leaning stool.
The firm polyurethane foam seat is waterproof and highly resistant to cuts or punctures, with raised ridges to encourage air flow for a cooler surface. Height adjustment is accomplished with a gas spring that also serves as a shock absorber by providing a cushioning effect when the user sits down. The angle of the seat is adjustable from 3° to 17°, enabling the user to find the most comfortable position.
The LOBAK Sit-Stand Stool is available in two models. Model 11002 features a locking clamp that secures the seat in an upright position but easily permits the base to fold up against the seat support for storage. Seat height on the 11002 ranges from 23.2" to 30.7" and is suitable for users of average height. Model 11050 features the same seat on a chromed steel, fixed (non-folding) base. With a seat height range from 24.4" up to 34.6", this model is still suitable for most average height users but can also comfortably meet the requirements of taller users up to approximately 6'4".

The Pivot Seat from Focal Upright Furniture builds on the proven designs of the Mobis and Mogo seats by incorporating features from both of these models. The rounded pivot base ensures that the user is actively engaged with the Pivot throughout the day. The Pivot Seat offers a much greater degree of movement than the Mobis as users can also freely rotate up to 360º, leaning or pivoting as desired. As with the Mogo there is no fixed base to force the user to remain facing a specific direction - rotating or pivoting to another direction can be done at will. The rubber "Octogrip Overmold" on the base ensures that a user is secure in whatever posture they adopt. However, unlike the Mogo which cannot stand on its own, the Pivot Seat features a weighted base which automatically returns the seat to an upright position - ready for the next use.
The bowl-shaped weighted base of the Pivot Seat also exerts a subtle force, encouraging a user to maintain a degree of active tension in the core muscles to maintain the desired optimum position. This also means that users who wish to be active while sitting can easily employ the range of movement the Pivot offers to achieve this goal. The wide range of height adjustment and the ability to angle the seat by tilting forward enables the user to easily choose between active sitting and leaning (or any posture between).
The thick EVA Foam cushion on the Pivot Seat features built-in sitz bone contours for support and a waterfall edge to reduce pressure on the upper legs and promote healthy circulation.
NOTE: ErgoCanada does not recommend the Pivot Seat for use on hardsurface floors such as hardwood, linoleum or tile. Users may find that the base "walks" away from them as they lean and move. It does not have any issues on any type of carpeted floor or mat.
